Franz Kafka and his work fascinated me when I was first introduced to “Metamorphosis” in my senior year in high school. I later would use the opportunity through college to try and study more of his work whenever I could. It all held a special meaning to me then, and I remember how I completely related to his work and how I was nearly obsessed with him. Now, decades later, my goal is to re-read his writings and determine how my outlook has changed toward them (if at all). I lead a relatively uneventful life, so superficially it is not a Kafkaesque life…but in my mind, many days I feel as if it is. I hope to try to revive the right side of my brain by adding information/discussions of what I read and learn of Kafka and other artists. And I hope to discover comments from others who do the same.
